Carlos Sierra, political consultant, is a man whose vision is focused on more individual liberty. From a very early age, he was interested in politics and he first demonstrated his passion in the 2000 presidential election. An idealist and wanting to change the world for the better, Carlos entered the political arena as an intern for the John McCain (R-Arizona) for President campaign during the 2000 presidential election.

For the next ten years, Carlos went on to serve in Senator McCain’s Tucson, Washington, Phoenix, and Tempe, Arizona offices. His responsibilities included community outreach, Hispanic outreach, constituent services, and various policy matters such as immigration, rural affairs, and natural resources. Senator McCain regularly referred to Carlos as his “eyes and ears of Arizona.”

Throughout the 2008 election cycle, Carlos traveled to most major primary and caucus states on behalf of the McCain presidential campaign. After helping Senator McCain capture a come-from-behind victory in the 2008 primary, Carlos became the Southwest Coalitions Director for McCain-Palin 2008.

After the 2008 campaign, Carlos Sierra returned to Senator McCain’s Senate office. In 2011, Sierra jumped back into the political playing field serving as the national campaign manager to the Buddy Roemer (R-Louisiana) for President campaign. As the youngest campaign manager of the 2012 election cycle, Carlos created a campaign that focused on reforming and ending corruption in Washington by promoting and implementing policies that diminish special interests and uplift the average American.

Carlos was honored to be one of ten national campaign managers invited to speak at Harvard’s Institute of Politics on the 2012 presidential election. And in late 2012, Carlos was asked to be the co-chairman and campaign manager to the Committee to Defeat Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Maricopa County, Arizona. He also served as the general consultant and strategist to the victorious Oscar Leeser for Mayor Campaign in El Paso, Texas in 2013.

Carlos Sierra served as the National Field Director for the Gary Johnson for President Campaign. Sierra oversaw ballot access in all 50 states and D.C., planned all political rallies and events for Governor Johnson and Governor Weld, oversaw all advocacy groups and coalitions, oversaw field and grassroots operations including the ground game in all 50 states, volunteers, and field staff, and oversaw the distribution of merchandise across all 50 states.

The 2016 election cycle was the Libertarian Party’s most successful in its history. We attained ballot access in all 50 states, raised more money than all previous Libertarian tickets combined, and built an army of thousands of volunteers throughout the country, resulting in the Libertarian’s highest vote total and percentage of the vote, ever.

A regular contributor to CNN OutFront, and POLITICO, Carlos is often sought out by various publications and mediums for his knowledge, bluntness, and insight on national politics.

Carlos Sierra has been an advisor to more than 100 Republican, Democratic, and Independent campaigns across the United States. He has proved to be integral in the political field because he works with candidates and committees of all parties and spearheads reform-oriented initiatives across the country.

As an innovative, intelligent, and integral political consultant, Carlos is known for being fiercely independent, which is a trait he finds many lack in politics. Carlos Sierra now serves as the President of Sierra Public Affairs as well as the Chief Executive Office of Renegade Public Affairs, which are both full-service consulting firms. He is based out of Phoenix and El Paso. When not being a thorn in incompetent politicians, Carlos most enjoys spending time with his beautiful daughter Destiny Sierra and his handsome son Carlos Sierra, III.
